Add Background Images to Google Homepage
Few days back, we showed you a simple trick to add your images in Google home page as background. The trick required Google background changer Firefox add-on to do the job.
Google is officially rolling out a feature which will allow users to upload an image from his computer and set it as page background. This was earlier possible in iGoogle, but looks like Google is planning to implement it in their home page as well.

Bing and Ask are the two major search engines who have this feature on for ages. However, Google has been experimenting with the homepage quite lately, first they added a left column, then we saw the pacman doodle and now the custom background. Nice!
The backgrounds can be added to the Google homepage from your computer or from a publicly accessible Picasa web album. This new feature is not active yet, but Google plans to release it in the US very soon.
More tricks on Google homepage:
1. Get back the old Google homepage
2. Remove the Left Column from Google Search Page
3. Replace The Google logo with Your favorite Google Doodle in Firefox
Update: Google has officially released this feature for everyone on June 4th, 2010. You can add an image from your computer or from Picasa web albums and set it as background of Google homepage. Just use the “Change background image” link placed at the left bottom on the hompage of Google.com
Country specific Google domains have not enabled this feature yet (e.g Google.co.in)
