Ampercent is an original work of Amit Banerjee,a 22 year old student from Kolkata, India. Amit is a part time blogger and blogs in his free time about technology, web apps and interesting stories related to computers. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Computer Application from NSEC, Kolkata.

Apart from being a computer geek and a technology enthusiast Amit is a huge rock music fan. In his free time he loves to jam with his guitar. Amit and Soumen (co-author of Ampercent) previously had a rock band and have played together in concerts.

Amit is working hard these days on this site and plans to become a full-time successful blogger someday.

Why do you Blog ?

I am immensely addicted to Internet and interesting stuff over the web.I love to read Blogs and gather thought.Its a wonderful way of learning,interacting and gathering Knowledge.

How much time you spend In Blogging ?

As I am a part time blogger my schedules are tight. My blogging time varies and can be anywhere around 2-6 hours per day.

Do you make money out of Blogging ?

At present I do not get any revenue for blogging at Ampercent.

How do you manage your studies and blogging simultaneously ?

Yes its a bit difficult to keep balance but as a wise man once said “ Where there is a will, there is a way.”

What do you do when you are not Blogging  ? What are your hobbies ?

Ampercent came into existence due to the merging of Ampersand (&) and the Percentage (%) symbols in programming languages.Though the name has no specific meaning, the idea is that any mention of “ampercent” may point to this blog in some way or the other.[Ego-Surfing].
