Ampercent.com has grown 2 years old and we hope you have enjoyed reading our blog posts during 2010. We promise to continue our ongoing efforts to make technology simpler and more accessible to the common user.

Down the Road

Some Stats: 2010 has been a great year in terms of readership, traffic, learning new things and moving along. Back in January 2010, we published 3 articles a week but gradually increased the number of updates to an average of 20 articles per week. The traffic count has also increased from 22000 to 2,00,000 (page views/month). Late 2010, we introduced our video screencasts section which features a handsome number of How to Videos, Reviews and interesting things related to tech.

Ampercent announces its second giveaway. I hope you guys remember We have earlier posted about Tabbles, a clever document management tool. If not lets rewind a bit. The tool helps you organize your documents in a better way employing techniques like tagging and virtual folders. If you still don’t remember, use the link above to read more about it.

The developers has agreed to sponsor 5 licences each worth $69.99. All the licences are valid for the business version of the tool. Hence you can use them with both the installable and portable versions of the software.

How to Participate in the Giveaway ?

There is a golden rule saying “Sharing is Caring“. That’s all you need to do.

1. Share the giveaway on Twitter, Facebook. Use the following format on Twitter and/or Facebook. Copy the link(url) to Twitter and/or Facebook status and post it as a comment here. You can use the following format to share.

2. Blog about it (ofcourse if you author a blog). Write a short review on Tabbles on your blog and you can use the download link to the free version and at the end of the post mention about the giveaway. Note that both the links should be “nofollow”.

We have shifted our hosting  provider to Doreo and hope bandwidth will never be a problem from Now on.

So who rescued us ? None other than our old friend Satish from Technotip.From fixing the permalink Structure When the Blog was Born to after nearly 1 year,Satish  has always given us personal attention and yet again helped us shift  from a “Dead” hosting provider to a professional one.

Thanks Satish for tolerating me at G talk for hours,Answering my non stop questions and showing me the correct path.Also thanks to QOT for the Tweets and the Guidance.

What Went Wrong ?

Everything was going fine until one day we found a heavy rush of traffic from stumbleupon.Our Unique visitors increased to about 200 % and as usual our bandwidth was consumed.I had no idea about the bandwidth usage and how it can crash your blog in a day if you are on limited bandwidth.

We decided to switch to another Hosting provider but Yet again : problem.The Guy with whom we bought the domain denied to give us the Go-daddy login.Without the godaddy login we could not set our name servers to the new host(thanks QOT for the tweets). It would sound Crazy but we had to assault the Guy’s house for the godaddy login and we managed it somehow.(Thanks Sourav )

The blog will be Normal in a day or two.I am feeling very tired now ,Two sleepless nights and a hassle  but thank god my Blog is restored ! Thanks again guys .Without you people god knows what would have happened !
