Customize A Theme For Windows 7 And Share It With Others

Wouldn’t it be great that you could possibly create your own customized Windows 7 ? And what if you could possibly share it with your loved ones ? I know the idea is fascinating. Read along to know how to perform this task.

Customizing your theme

1. Right-click on your desktop. Select Personalize.

2. Click any pre-defined themes to select it. We will now modify it.

3. Now to change the wallpapers, click the Desktop Backgrounds at the bottom. Select the wallpapers. You can select from the default wallpapers(shown in the pane already) or could simply browse to a different directory by using the Browse button. To select multiple wallpapers, just select the checkboxes beside the images(you wish to add to the list). Make changes to any other settings that defines the Desktop Background Slideshow. Now click Save Changes.

4. Similarly change all the other attributes of the theme like Window Color, Sounds and Screensaver. Click each of them one by one and set the attributes to anything that you want.

Saving The Modified Theme

Now in the Personalization Dialog Box, Scroll to the top. You can now see an unsaved theme under My Themes section. To the right of it, you’ll find an option to save the theme(or just right-click on the modified theme). Click Save theme. Name the theme and press save.. You’re done. You can now use the modified theme in future also with all the changes intact.

Saving The Modified Theme for Sharing

Now if you wish to share the theme with your friends, family or loved ones. Just right-click on the modified theme, now click Save theme for sharing. Name your theme and click Save. The saved theme could be found in your My Documents folder.
