Portable Torrent Client : How to Download Torrents on USB Drive

If you download a lot of torrents then you may need a portable installation of a Torrent software on your USB stick so that you can easily download torrents on any computer you want. This article describes how to download torrents on a Usb drive.

Make Utorrent portable

The most popular torrent client is utorrent and you can easily make it portable. Following are the steps involved :

1.Install utorrent in your computer and browse to the installed directory.

2. Open Notepad and create a New file. Save the file as Settings.dat in the u torrent installation directory. remember to save as “All files” and not as a text document.

3.Now copy the entire u torrent folder in your USB drive.Configure the paths and settings of your portable installation and you are done.
