Change The Gridlines Color and highlight cells in Excel 2007

In excel 2007 the gridlines color  can be changed to match your style.You can also emphasize selected cells and can  highlight them using borders and filling in some colors of your choice.

To change the Gridlines color in Excel 2007 :

  1. From the office Ribbon select “Excel options”.
  2. Choose the Advanced tab from the Excel Menu
  3. Scroll down Until you find “Display Options for this Worksheet”
  4. Select the Checkbox”Show Gridlines” and Choose the Gridlines color as shown in the Following Screenshot.

This feature can be used to customize the look of your worksheet and emphasis selected cells.

If you wish to highlight selected cells

You can always change the Border gridlines color of the selected cells as follows :

1.Select the cells which you want to highlight.Right click and select “Format Cells”

2.Under the Border Tab Choose the line,color and Border outline as shown below

3.Press OK and you can see your Highlighted cells.Similarly you can also Fill background colors to the selected cells from the “Fill” Tab.

    This does NOT work if you’ve chosen to have a background color in your cell(s). Once you pick any background color other than “Automatic” your grid lines vanish.
