Create A Desktop To-Do List Manager Using Google Tasks & Chrome

We are in an era when our attention is necessary for almost everything. there is so much to remember these days. To-Do Apps appear as a savior. So let us now see how to create a free Task management app out of our favorite Google(Task and Chrome).

1. Open this link(http://mail.google.com/tasks/canvas) in Google Chrome. Sign in using your Google account credentials.

2. Click the Google Chrome Menu button and  then go to “Create application shortcuts…”. After that you could select the necessary location for placing the shortcut. I’ll be creating on my desktop. So, from now on you can start the app just by double-clicking the app shortcut on your desktop.

Creating Task Lists :

Start the app. You will notice that, there is already a default list created for you, which can be found in the left pane. This is named after you. You could delete this or keep it as it is. You can also create new lists form this app.

1. Click the New List button in the top left corner.

2. Now name the list as you like.

3. Once you had created it, it will be there in the left pane.

Creating New tasks and assigning it to any list :

1. Click anywhere below previously created tasks in the to-do lists pane(the pane to the right).

2. Now name the task. Click the “>” button to the right of the task name to edit details like due date, description and assigning it to a particular list.

I love to use this just because this is pretty simple and saves your time from installing another software for it. But the only part that I do not like about it is that, you have to be connected to Internet in case you have to use it. Share your ideas about this trick via comments.
