How to Back up Google chrome Profile
If you love using Google chrome and use multiple profiles then you would like to back up your Google chrome profile.This allows you to back up your browser bookmarks,saved passwords and program preferences.
Google Chrome Backup, is a free tool for windows which can be used to back up and restore Google chrome preferences,passwords, bookmarks etc. However Google chrome themes aren’t backed up using this application.
It supports 0.2.149.27 version of Google Chrome or Chromium, but also newer builds.
Backup a profile : Backing up a profile is easy. You can select the manual process or follow the wizard .Run the application,select a Profile and select “back up profile”.A new file will be created and you can use this new file and mount your chrome profile in any computer of your choice.In the latest version of the app you can protect your backup file with a password too.
Restoring a Google chrome profile : To restore an already backed up profile start the application and select “restore profile”.Next,browse to the gcb file you created earlier. The selected profile is deleted and restored using the back up file.
You can also create a password protected user profile for Google Chrome and then use this software to back up the profile and use in multiple computers.
