How to Autohide the Bookmarks Toolbar in Firefox

Written by Amit Banerjee on 5 Dec, 2009 Under Internet

You can easily autohide the bookmarks toolbar in Google chrome using a shortcut key (Ctrl + B). But what about Firefox ?. Here is a small yet useful Firefox add-on which auto-hides the Firefox bookmarks bar.

Install Firefox bookmarks autohider

After the installation is complete, restart Firefox to activate the addon. Now you will see the bookmarks toolbar hidden by default. Just hover over the bookmark toolbar area and the toolbar shows up.

Hiding the bookmarks toolbar ends up having more screen space and makes the browser clutter free. Here is a quick 1 minute video which demonstrates the working of this add-on.

Works just Like an Ajax object, doesn’t it?

  2. Though this is a useful addon, I don’t feel like installing this addon for such a small task :)
