Comments on: Install WordPress Locally in your Computer with Wamp Server

I edited the font color of the theme in the CSS file, and the created a new logo for the main page, and made some manor changes to the theme. Copied the new images to override the old once in the theme/images folder, then I refresh the browser, but nothing changes. Deactivated the theme, and activated the theme again but my change still did not show up.
What is the best way to do this?

Need some help
After clicking on phpmyadmin a balnk page comes up I tried it on firefox and it dose not work

this procedure does not work. there is no sqlitemanger anywhere in my installation of wamp server 2.1 so i can’t get any of this to work. please help.

@Jason: When you click “Start All services” the services will start on it’s own. You have to open a web browser and open the http://localhost file to see the local websites running on Wamp

Hi,friends: why I click ” start all services” nothing happend? If I click upper “php myadmin” it works, but after put database name thanask for table? I lost there. Is 2.1 different with your 2.? then where i can get 2? Thankyou very much

Hi Amit, thanks for the effort. Yeah, I actually did refer to them my problem. But it seems that they also seem no way to go…i mean with regards to the reply I got from them, I don’t see any technicalities behind. Anyway, Amit, thanks very much. @Doc: If you are new to WordPress then it would be wise to contact your webhost’s support team. Ask them to run an SQL query which replaces the URL structure from localhost to your original website. Example: http://localhost should be replaced with http://yourwebsite.com.

Hi Amit, thanks for the very prompt reply. the truth is I am a newbie here..so please be patient with me. I actually did… i made a new database in my account and a user for it. I loaded it to the wp_config file which is in my webhost. I use search and replace to change loaclhost to the actual website and load the imported the edited database to my webhost using phpmyadmin… what else do you think should I checked here? the homepage loads okay but, the rest of the links are directing back to my localhost… one more chance of your answer please…
