An Interview with Abhishek Bhatnagar of Mobiletipstricks

Abhishek Bhatnagar is a Software Engineer by profession and blogger by passion. He is a part time tech blogger and believe in blogging because of his deep interest in technology and computers. He is also the author of two other blogs, Technixupdate.com and MobileTipsTricks.com.

1. Tell me something about your blog-‘mobiletipstricks’. When did you start this blog and what made you do that?

A - I had been playing with various types of mobile phones hacks and codes on my phone and my friend’s mobile phones. One day I thought of starting a blog on the same so that I can share all the information I have with others.

2. Apart from ‘mobiletipstricks’ you also maintain some other blogs. Tell me something about them. Among them, which one is your favorite?

A - I have a network of blogs and services ranging on technology and day to day use, some of the blogs in my network are:

· www.technixupdate.com – a blog on computer tips and tricks

· www.troublefixers.com – a blog on computer troubleshooting

· www.sitestouse.com – a blog as a guide for you to find useful sites on web

· www.jhand.in – a free place to share some humorous stories of your life

· www.realitytvcut.com – a blog on reality TV shows like MTV roadies

3. We find so many blogs on different tricks and tips related to internet software or windows. We seldom find sites on mobile trips and tricks. What made you choose this uncommon topic?

A - I was always more fascinated in exploring different mobile phone tricks on whatever handset I get in my hands at that time, and most of the tricks were used to work so thought of sharing those tricks. Although these days the content is mainly published on various free to use mobile phones applications.

4. As your Blog is mainly On Mobile phones and Apps how did you optimized Your Blog for Mobile Users?

A - Yes it is mainly on mobile phone applications but I have not optimized it for mobile phones but it is light and loads fast in any browser on any browser loaded on the mobile phones, will be soon optimizing it for mobile phones.

5.  You people write so many posts. How do you manage to keep focus?

A – I write very rarely this day for mobiletipstricks.com, mainly content is written by a team of writers who keep playing various mobile phone applications and mobile phones to write great content. I write mainly on www.technixupdate.com

6. How much time you spent each day on your blog? Do you think that’s sufficient for you to maintain your blog?

A - I spent my whole day in managing the blogs and other web services I run, as well as in reading a large number of feeds in Google reader.

7. Tell me something about your Co-Author Gurpreet? When did he start blogging for you and how did it occur?

A- Gurpreet is another co-author on mobiletipstricks.com, he has a great passion for testing and playing with various new applications released for different mobile phones. One day he asked me to become a co-author on mobiletipstricks.com and after seeing his work and great passion for mobile technology I allowed him.

8. What according to you is more important and Why? The quality or the quantity of the post?

A- Quality is always more important than quality because it provides more satisfaction to the readers and make your readers respect your work and be loyal.

9.  Among all the social networking sites we have like Twitter, Digg, Mix, Stumbleupon, Facebook, Myspace, Orkut etc., which one helps you to drive the maximum traffic to your blog?

A – Twitter is something which can give you instant traffic but depends on which type of people are following you and stumbleupon comes at second number as it also helps you to get spikes but only if you know how to do it, about rest all other social networks I don’t use much for traffic.

10. There are many beginners out here who wants their blogs to get traffic and listed in different search engines fast. What suggestions would you like to give to them?

A- Write quality content and have patience, I would suggest write from your heart and write everything with great passion and enough research. Blogging is not equal to quick money.

11. Where do you find compelling content. I mean Every Blogger uses RSS feeds to consume Content. Do you think that it adds up in rehashed material?

A - Google reader is something where I read lot of good content, but it’s always better for you to categorize it and don’t make it like a hell for you to understand so don’t clutter.

12. According to you, on an Average how much time a blogger should wait before monetizing his/her blog?

A – Its personal perspective actually, but I think one should wait for 1000 unique visits per day.

13. As you are writing your blog on mobile tips and tricks, do you think there is any change in the mindset of people who are using mobiles from the time you started blogging till now? Do you think people still consider a mobile as a source of communication with their friends and family or it has evolved to something more than that?

A - Mobile phone industry is a industry which has a rapid growth rate from the first day specially in India, people have accepted the fact that mobile phone is the quickest and the easiest way to remain connected all the time. However it is evolving and even now mobile phones are considered more than communication device with some great features they provide these days.

14. You have got almost 8000 regular readers of your blog. From which place you have the maximum readers? Do you find any reason behind that? People from which place in this world shows the maximum interest on the tips and tricks of mobiles?

A - Most of the reader in 8000 readers count are from India only as mobile phone technology is more rapidly evolving in India and here people are more crazy about various mobile phones tips and tricks.

15. Everybody of us do some mistakes at some point of our life. What is the biggest mistake you think you have done in your entire blogging career? How did you manage to come out of that?

A - Choosing an Indian hosting service in the initial times of blogging which ruined everything on my blog.

16. What’s your best tip for bloggers starting out today?

A - Choose the topic you love to blog about, before starting a blog.
