How to Setup Multiple Google Account Sign in

How many Google accounts do you maintain? One , Two, Three or did I hear Five ? If you are a blogger or a tech savvy person, chances are you have multiple Gmail accounts which you use regularly. The problems with multiple Google accounts is when you enter the login – logout cycle and get confused which account is used for which website(s).

Let’s take an example to understand this.

I have two primary Google accounts (other than Google Apps) which I use on a regular basis. One of them is used for email, Paypal, blog hosting and other official works while the other one is for watching YouTube videos, reading feeds, Twitter, Facebook and so on.

Now suppose I am watching a YouTube video and want to read some blog posts in Google Reader. I have to log out from the current account, type the username and password for another Google account and so on. One solution is to use another browser (e.g Google Chrome) but I prefer using only one browser at a time.

Google multiple account sign in is an extremely useful feature which allows you to quickly switch between multiple Gmail accounts without having to type the username and passwords, login and logout from one account to another.

Following are the steps involved to setup multiple Gmail account sign in:

1. First go to your Google Account settings by clicking the dropdown on the Google homepage

2. On the settings page, click “Edit” under Multiple Sign in, as shown below

3. On the next page, select the radio button “On- Use Multiple Google Accounts in the same browser” and then select all the checkboxes underneath. Now hit “Save”

4. Now repeat the same procedure for your other Google or Gmail accounts.

5. To enable multiple logins, first open your Google or Gmail account and click the small dropdown right before “settings” placed on the right top of the browser window. Click “Sign in to another account”

6. This will open a new login screen where you have to login to your second Google account. Proceed with the login and after that you will see both the account names in the account dropdown menu as shown below:

You are done! There is nothing easier than this, just click the drop down and switch between multiple Gmail accounts quickly.
