Edit Facebook Photo Albums and Tagged Photos using PicknikTo start editing an image, all you have to do is double click a thumbnail and load the image in Picnik’s editor. You can choose the desired image by clicking through the albums dropdown or selecting the profile dropdown, as shown in the above screenshot.

Adding Effects to Your Facebook Photos and Fixing Them

When the image has finished loading, you can apply the following effects:

Autofix: This is a one click magic button which automatically determines the best possible setting for the image and fixes it accordingly. If you don’t have any knowledge of photo editing and need a one click solution – just hit the Autofix button.

Rotate: When you transfer some pictures from a digital camera, some of them may appear rotated. In a hurry, you may forget to rotate the image before uploading to your Facebook albums.

As a result, the uploaded photo is rotated 90 degrees to the right or left. This problem can be fixed with Picnik photo editing application, just hit the Rotate button and the photo can be rotated 90 degrees to the left or right or you can flip it horizontally or vertically as well.

Adjusting Colors
: To adjust the colors of a picture, hit the “Colors” button and you will be shown two sliders e.g Temperature and Saturation. Using these sliders, you can adjust the brightness, contrast and color of an image. This is useful when you want an image to look older or may want to convert it into a black and white copy. (see example)

When the editing is complete, hit the “Save” button and a copy of the image will be saved in the same Facebook album where it belonged. You can also share the edited image on other social sites e.g Twitter, Myspace or email the picture to a friend who is not on Facebook. There is a “print” button as well as a “Save to Computer” button, whose functions are pretty self explanatory.

Overall, Picknik is the best photo editing application for Facebook users who hate downloading images to their computer, edit them and upload them back to the respective albums. Give it a try !

Note: Picnik is a standalone web based image editor(free), the company was acquired by Google on March 2010.
