How to Find or Recover the Windows7 HomeGroup Password
Windows 7 allows you to create a homegroup and add multiple computers to this homegroup for easier file or printer sharing. If you have multiple computers at your workplace, you can connect all of them via LAN or wireless Wi-fi and create a simple homegroup in Windows7.
This will allow you to use the Network sharing properties in each computer and you can share files across multiple computers within the same homegroup very easily.
But if you have created the homegroup a long time ago and have forgotten the homegroup password in Windows7, here is an easy way to recover the lost homegroup password in Windows7:
1. Open Windows explorer by hitting the keyboard shortcut Win key + E and right click the “Homegroup” link in the sidebar. Following is a screenshot:

So I have to be in the Homegroup to do this. I have a homegroup setup, but can’t get any (even the master) computer join it without Password, nor can I remove it, nor can I create a new one.
