Gazelle Pays You For Recycling Damaged Electronic Goods
Do you want to get rid of the gadgets that aren’t working for years? Before you decide to throw them in a local dustbin, think again. Gazelle let’s you recycle damaged electronic goods and pays you in return.
With Gazelle, you can recycle almost any electronic and computer gadgets which includes monitors, hard disks, CPU, printer, ipods and the like. Gazelle also supports other electronic products such as mobile phones, television etc.
The process is very simple. Go to Gazelle and in the search box, type the name of the product which you want to recycle.

Gazelle will then ask you some simple questions such as whether the product is water damaged or not and whether you have all the necessary equipments and accessories. Once you answer all the questions, Gazelle will show you the amount they are willing to pay for your damaged product.

Tip: For a better quote, try to include the exact model number of the product.
If you want to sell your damaged product, click “Add to Box”. In a few weeks, Gazelle will send a postage paid box at your home address so that you can ship the gadget. Once the gadget reaches in the company’s hands, payments are made via PayPal, Check or Amazon.com gift card.
You can also choose to donate gadgets for charity and if your damaged goods have no market value, Gazelle will still recycle it. Personally, I haven’t tried the service yet, but will give a try with my damaged CD writer which I no longer use at all. [ via New York Times ]
