Remove Ads and Unnecessary Elements To Get a Minimalist Facebook

If you find the current interface of Facebook cluttered with lots of advertisements and unnecessary elements, here is a greasemonkey script which might help.

The Minimalist Facebook Greasemonkey script wipes out clutter and removes unnecessary elements from Facebook. Once the extension is installed you will get

  • A wider News feed
  • The sidebar will be hidden forever which means more space for the status updates
  • The chat information on the left pane will be invisible which is again very good because there is no need to have duplicate elements on your Facebook profile.
  • The comment boxes are extended

Here is how your Facebook profile or News feed will look:

All in all this browser script is a very nice option if you spend too much time on Facebook and find some elements utterly distracting. It will also remove Facebook advertisements and any other Facebook promotional links.
