Capture and save Audio, Video and Flash Files from your Browser

There are some really useful software and tools which you can use to capture and record audio and video files from websites and blogs. This includes a desktop tool to capture audios from the web, a browser toolbar to record streaming audios and videos and a video capture software for capturing videos from the browser.

You can download videos from the web in your desired formats , extract audio from youtube videos but what if you need to capture audio files, music or videos played within your browser ? Here are some tools to capture videos, audio and music files from your browser.

Capture Audio and Video Files Using Tubemaster : Desktop Application

tubemasterTubemaster  is a Freeware that lets you capture video and audio files played inside your browser. Just run tubemaster in your system tray and you can capture the video in various formats like AVI, MPEG, MP3, MP4, WAV, WMA, MOV. The best thing:  you can convert the captured video using Tubemaster without requiring any other video conversion utility.

Tubemaster can further be used to search videos and songs on major search engines like : Youtube, Dailymotion, Myspace  etc. It supports capturing videos and media from encrypted sources as well (e.g pandora, Imeen and Last.fm ).

Capture Flash, SWF and Animated content From Browsers :

The problem with shockwave flash objects and SWF files is that you cannot save them by a simple right click. You have to look in your Cache or temporary Internet folders which may not be comfortable. Here is how you can easily capture flash and SWF content from your browser :

Save Flash Objects from Internet Explorer : Use the Flash Saving Plugin to save Flash and SWF objects from Internet explorer. You do not need to hunt in the temporary internet folder and search the Flash content.

A button is added in your browser toolbar that lists all the Flash movies, animations and SWF objects residing in the current webpage. Click an Object and  you can save it in your computer.

The flash saving plugin comes with an SWF cache viewer so you can use it to save Flash and SWF objects from pop up windows as well.

Save flash and SWF objects from Firefox : You can use  Flash saving plugin as discussed above with Firefox as well. However, if you do not want to use any Plugin follow the simple steps below:

1. Right click on the web page containg the Flash Object and select “View page info”

2. In the media tab, switch to the flash movie or file that you want to save.

3. Click “Save as “ and you can save that SWF Object.

Here is another way to save Flash and animated content from Firefox without using any Plugin or br0wser extension :

1. Type about:blank in Firefox address bar and then type about:cache?device=disk (Disk cache device). Hit enter and you will see all the items currently saved in your browser cache.

2. Press Ctrl + F to locate the location of the Flash File.

3. After you have located the location of the Flash Object, right click it and Choose “save link as “.

The above method works for almost any king of Flash, SWF or GIF objects and also for Macromedia Breeze files.

Capture Audios and Music from your Browser using FreemusicZilla

Record and save Audios / Videos from Webpages : Browser toolbar

    But through firefox i can capture any swf within few clicks from any website!
