@Salin: Yes you can’t transfer the saved chats to any other email accounts and then download them using a desktop email client. Thanks for the comment.

Any idea to back up all gmail chat in single click? One thing I found, we can take a back up of our gmail account to hotmail. But the sent items and chat will not be able to transfer! Here is the link. [https://secure5.trueswitch.com/winlive/]

@scott fox : I have tried the same but you can’t access chats through IMAP.This process is the only way to save gmail chats offline so far ! Do you have any more ideas ?

I would love to know as well, Amit. I’ve been looking for a way to access chats through IMAP and any possible work around. If you have any ideas, let me know!

@Simon : No You cannot select Multiple emails at once and back them up Simultaneously.
