Shutdown XP with one click from your Desktop
The most conventional way to shutdown your computer is from the start menu.This involves three steps.Click on the start menu,then click on turn off and then again click on turn off.This is a very slow process and the same task can be achieved through 1 click from a desktop shortcut.
How to Create the shutdown shortcut ?
1.Right click on the desktop and create a new shortcut from.
2.In the box type “shutdown -s -t 0“(without quotations).Then click next.
3.Give the shortcut a relevant name.For example name it Shutdown.
If you wish a better look for that shortcut you can always change the icon.Right click the shortcut and select properties.Then under the customize tab you can change the icon from the option “Change Icon”.Select the ” Default” turn off icon or any icon of your choice
Thats all.When you double click the shortcut it will shutdown your computer
