Simplest Way To Hide Any File Without Using Any Software

This is the best and simplest way to hide any file of any type or even folders. This is a petty little trick which can hide any file without any software in exactly 3 simple steps. Trust me, you will never need any other tool to hide files or folders in Windows.

1. Create a new folder anywhere on your PC. I recommend, use USB Drive/Pen Drives. Why ? Read the note at the bottom of the post.

2. Rename the folder using this special trick. Press and hold Alt key and type 255 using numpad. This will ensure that, there is no visible folder name.

3. Right click on the newly created “unnamed” folder and change its icon. While selecting the icon, you will find some blank spaces, which are actually icons not just blank spaces. Select any of them and save the changes.

4. Now as all the above part is done, you will see there is practically nothing visible for that folder. Now put the files you want to hide, within it. Thats all.

WORD OF CAUTION : The Folder once created can never be renamed or deleted. So use any USB Drive so that you can format it, in case you want to delete that invisible folder. Though it won’t cause any other annoyance, if you can just ignore its presence.

The folder can in fact be renamed and deleted at any time, as long as you know where it is.
