Written by Soumen Halder on 25 Mar, 2009 Under Software

Working as a team ? Need to sit with your partner on his computer to demonstrate your work on something. All you need is to arrange a physical meeting or a video chat or something similar in case the earlier is not possible. But what if you could simply see his computer on your own desktop and use it as if its yours & that also sitting at your home? then what ? if the very thought is awfully thrilling to you then, Teamviewer is the ultimate tool for you.

Download Teamviewer 4

First of all download and install the freeware on your machine. You can also install the portable version of Teamviewer in your USB drive but you need a license to use it on multiple computers. This software is a freeware for non-commercial use only. But you need to spend some bucks to use it commercially.

Goodies of Teamviewer 4

The main feature is already said in the intro part. But let me detail all of them now in developer’s own words.

Connect to any PC or server :

Establishes connections to any PC or server all around the world within just a few seconds. You can remote control your partner’s PC as if you were sitting right in front of it.

File transfer, chat & more :

Share your files, chat, switch the direction during a teamwork session, and a lot more is included in TeamViewer. With Teamviewer Running at Both ends you can easily send large files across. No need to upload to any Third party web services.

Multi platform – from Windows to Mac OS X :

TeamViewer is available for multiple platforms, from Windows to Apple Mac OS X – and can even be used for cross-platform connections from Windows to Mac and back!

Web browser based access :

One of the main additions to TeamViewer 4 is the new web browser based access mode that allows remote access to another computer via a web browser. Remote control is done by an Adobe Flash 9 component, TeamViewer 4 web connector does not need any ActiveX etc. component and by that will also be usable in high-security environments where browser plug-ins and executable files are not allowed. The web connector requires a free TeamViewer account (but is not included in the Business licenses)
