How to get a Transparent Taskbar in Windows
TransTaskbar is a free portable tool developed by Solo-Dev that will help you get a transparent taskbar as well as a start menu too. It is specially useful for all XP enthusiasts but also helpful to Vista & Windows 7 users who are unable to use the Aero interface due to some reasons.
Follow the steps below
1. Download TransTaskbar to your machine.
2. Unzip the downloaded zip file which will yield two files named TTB.exe and TTB-UI.exe. As the app is a portable app, you do not need to install it. You can use it right-away.
3. You’ll need the TTB-UI.exe file generally. it’s a GUI app. Double-click it to run the app. Now sing the slider set the slider to your desired level & click Apply. You cannot set the transparency level below 25.

4. So what if you want to attain a transparency level <25, this is when you are going to need the command line version, which is the TTB.exe.
5. Open the command prompt (Win Key + R) to use the TTB.exe. Just type in
TTB<space>transparency-level-value i.e TTB<space>12 for setting the transparency to a value of 12 which is less than 25.
NOTE : Avoid using TTB.exe. It has bugs.
