Try this Firefox Hack If you Cant Install Chrome on Win XP/Vista

When i tried to Install Chrome on my Win XP-SP2 i repeatedly got an error message.The setup file downloaded Successfully but i could not install the wonderful browser.Try this firefox hack if you are experiencing the same.

1.Open Firefox and type in the Address bar  about:config.This will open a warning Message.Don’t worry.Click “I will be Careful”

2.Now Right click and Click a new String Entry general.useragent.override.

Install chrome on Xp

3.In the preference Name Write general.useragent.override.Enter the String Value as under :

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; ru; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1

Thats it.Now hopefully you wont get any error messages and Google Chrome will be installed.If you Still Face any more Problems then please Drop a Comment.

    Actually that hack is for downloading Chrome on Win 2K (which I later discovered is not supported).
