AirDropper Allows People To Upload Files to Your Dropbox Account From Email

I am a huge fan of Dropbox, one of the best file sharing and sync services available till date. Despite their great service, one of the limitations of Dropbox is that it does not allows non Dropbox users to upload files to your Dropbox account.

Previously we wrote about a php script which lets you create a simple webpage where your friends or blog visitors can upload files to your Dropbox account. You can password protect the page and store the files in a particular folder, then can download all of them using the Dropbox desktop client.

But those who do not have a web server will find Airdropper immensely useful. The service lets anyone upload files to your Dropbox account, just give Airdropper the required permissions and fill out a sample form to request the files from the recipient. Your request will be sent to the email address of the recipient, all they have to do is go to the link and upload the files using a simple web form. Handy!

The clients need not need a Dropbox account and they can upload multiple files at once.

Let Your Friends Upload Files to your Dropbox account

The maximum file size limit is 100 MB but I think that’s pretty much OK if you are dealing with regular email attachments, documents and do not requests large movies or torrents.

This application can be great for college students, bloggers, project managers or anyone who wants to reduce email overload and get the files directly in their desktop.
