Upload Photos in Orkut Photo Albums From Desktop

Here is a tiny Picasa add-in which will let you upload photos to your Orkut account right from your desktop.

There are desktop clients like Scrapboy, which lets you manage your Orkut profile. You can read and reply to scraps and see profiles of your friends. But Scrapboy does not allow you to upload photos to your Orkut albums.

To get started, download ‘Share photos on orkut’ plugin. The browser will ask for a permission to launch Picasa and install the plugin.

This will launch Picasa and then you can add the Orkut button to quickly share photos from your desktop.

To upload photos in your orkut account, all you have to do is select the photos which you want to upload and hit the Orkut button.

This will open a new Picasa window which lets you select the album where you want to add the images. You can also create a new album and add selected photos to that album.
