How Voyage Can be Used to Monitor Your Twitter Activities

Written by Amit Banerjee on 14 Dec, 2009 Under Web Tools

Voyage is a new Firefox addon that can be used to view your Firefox history as a timeline. We had reviewed Firefox History tree – which lets you view Firefox history as a visual map.

John Samuel, one of the regular commentators of this blog asked a question:

Can you write a post on voyage’s capabilities of monitoring Twitter activities?

Good question. In brief, this addon can track what you have tweeted about in the entire day and list the time of your tweets along with the short URL’s.

Here is how voyage looks with your Twitter Tweets

When Voyage comes into play:  If you Tweet quite often then voyage can be particularly useful to narrow down what you had tweeted yesterday or a week ago. Just type “about:voyage” in Firefox address bar and you can know the exact time of your tweet with the short URL’s and without having to open your Twitter account. The timeline view is beautiful as you can sort your tweets of a particular day using the Voyage calendar.

Unfortunately, the twitter integration in Voyage doesn’t work when you are not connected to the internet. If we could see what we have tweeted from Firefox history without requiring an internet connection, it would have served a meaningful purpose. The actual use of this extension is to view your daily Firefox history as a timeline.
