iGoogle is your personalized Google page where you can add and remove various gadgets like Gmail, Google Talk, Facebook, Picasa photos, weather reports and so on. Some days ago we discussed Google reader play – an easy way to read RSS feeds like a slideshow. A similar feature is also available for iGoogle fans as well.
To activate a slideshow of RSS feeds on igoogle, click the “Add Stuff” button on your iGoogle homepage as shown below:

Now go back to your iGoogle homepage and you will see that the RSS gadget is in place.

Now comes the real fun. Click the down arrow icon, choose “Slideshow” option and save the settings.

The feed items and new stories will appear just like a photo slideshow and you can view images (if any) directly from the iGoogle homepage.

This is useful when you have subscribed to a lot of image galleries and want an easy way to view the latest images, without leaving the iGoogle homepage. A good idea would be to merge multiple feeds using Yahoo pipes and then add that feed as an RSS gadget. Thanks to Davinder for the tip.
