How to Fool a Friend Using a Cool XP trick
In one of my previous posts i discussed how you can “Create a One click desktop shortcut to shutdown Windows XP“.I have also discussed “How to show Custom Fake messages to your Users“.Now this trick when combined with the other trick can be used to fool your friend.Just follow these steps.
How to fool a Friend Using this Cool XP Trick
1.Right click on your desktop and create a new shortcut. In the description type the following :
shutdown -s -t 30 -c “You Cannot use the Internet explorer as your system contains a Virus. The System will shutdown after this”
Note:If the above code do not works manually replace the quotation marks. To increase the interval of the shutdown replace 30 with the Number of seconds after which you want to shutdown the PC.
2.Save the shortcut and Name it “Internet explorer”.
3.Choose Internet explorer icon for your Shortcut. To achieve this right click the shortcut you just created and select “Change Icon” under the Shortcut Tab.Select the Internet Explorer Icon and press Ok.
Thats it.Now copy this shortcut in your USB drive or CD and secretly save this in your Friends Desktop. When he runs it something “strange” will happen and his system will shutdown.
How do i abort the Shutdown : To abort the shutdown Create another shortcut and type shutdown-a and save it.When you run this shortcut the Shutdown process will terminate.
How Successful is this Trick :I have successfully tested this trick on some of my friends and no one could catch me.Later they came to me saying “Amit something strange has happened to Internet explorer in my PC.”.I told them that i can fix it if they give me a Cold drink treat. They agreed.
Now go on and Fool a friend.Tell me if He/She caught you or not.
