WordPress: Send an Email Alert Whenever a Post is in Pending Review

Suppose you are the administrator or editor of a multi-authored blog and have a lot of authors, contributors writing articles for your blog. You want to get notified by email whenever a post is submitted for review. Here is how you can set up an auto-alert for posts submitted for review.

Enter Wp-Status notifier, a Wordpress plugin which automatically sends an email to your chosen email address once a post status has been changed from “Draft”  to “Pending Review”.

You can choose to send the notification emails to multiple email addresses by separating them with a comma. The plugin can also optionally notify the contributors when their post is accepted or rejected. So if you have multiple authors and contributors writing posts, this is the plugin which you shuold use to get notified.

There is also Email Users – a WordPress plugin which can be used to send an email to blog authors from the Wordpres admin panel.

This plugin is very handy as you can email notes and remarks to blog authors from WordPress and set user groups and add authors to teams etc.
