The First Video Uploaded on YouTube is Still Available

The first ever YouTube video was uploaded by Jawed Karim on April 23, 2005. Jawed karim is the co founder of YouTube along with Chad Hurley and Steve Chen.

The video which was originally shot at San Diego Zoo, California is of only 19 seconds and contains annotations. It has been viewed 1,589,388 times and has received whooping 12,893 comments.

Wikipedia says that the idea of YouTube was proposed by Steve Chen and Chad Hurley when they experienced difficulties in sharing videos that were shot on a dinner party. Google acquired YouTube on October 2006. [courtesy : Royal pingdom]
