The 501 Rupees Smartphone; ChampOne C1

First, there was Freeddom 251, now it is ChampOne C1.

An unknown company called Ringing Bells rang the cheap smartphone bell in the minds of Indian consumers first. The product went in limelight soon and became viral within a short period of time.

Due to the cheap amount it was supposed to be selling, people ordered a lot of units. And, they even announced a date to ship the device. Still, they haven’t shipped more than 70,000 units till date.

There was also a claim that the company resells smartphone from Adcom under new banner.

Whatever was it, India has got another such phone. The specs look so good that you don’t believe it is going to be sold for 501 INR.

Let’s now take a look at the features they offer.

The 501 Rupees Smartphone

I have listed out the features as per they gave on the website itself.

The 501 smartphone boasts a 5 inch display with 720 p resolution. That means the pixel density is 294 PPI. For a price of 501 rupees, it is more than you could ask.

The device is powered by a hexa core processor! Yeah you heard it right though we don’t know the people who register will get the phone or not. ChampOne C1 will be powered by 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6735 hexa core processor with a RAM of 2 GB.

You will get 16 GB of internal storage. But the disappointing fact is that you can’t expand the storage with a micro SD card. Too much to ask for 501 rupees, right?

It has dual SIM functionality. But both the SIMs lack 3G compatibility! Are you kidding me? No, I am not! Sadly, they say the phone will not have support to 3G. But it supports 4G, though. Feeling relieved, huh?

The Jodhpur based company has included a 8 megapixels rear camera along with a 5 megapixels front facing one. If you are a person who takes the number of pixels as a measure of camera quality, you would expect them to perform well. Let’s see!

The phone will run on Android version 5.1 Lollipop and, it will have a decent battery of 2500 mAh. But the battery will be sealed inside that you can’t remove the same.

Unlike Freedom 251, the phone is available for 501 rupees for only one day. After that, they said the phone will be available for 7000+ INR. But let us see how it goes given that it has a significant con of no expandable storage and a small internal memory.

Wrapping Up

I hope you have got an overview of ChampOne C1 now, haven’t you?

The flash sale will go live on September 2. It’s about 3 days farther. Just wait for it and, try your luck.
