When Cortana was first introduced by Microsoft to the Windows 10 operating system, not a lot of people were excited about it. Some of the reasons were that it was initially available only for a few languages, it did not support a lot of features like its competition Siri and it was not even working properly for a lot of users.
However, Microsoft improved Cortana a lot over the years and it is now much better and more useful than it was at the time of the launch. In the most recent update, Microsoft introduced seamless browsing where Android users having the Cortana app installed on their phone can continue reading an article on their Windows 10 PC right where they left it on their Android phone.
The Cortana app for Android is still in the development stage and a stable version of the app has not yet been released. Even though the app is still in the beta stage, it is very much usable and all the features are working without any issues.
The app is much similar to the Google Assistant and it comes with all the basic features that you might expect from a smart personal assistant like voice commands for setting a reminder or starting a timer, giving you the update on your daily schedule, providing useful information like weather, news and so on.
But the best feature of the Cortana app for Android is that it is synchronized with the Cortana on your Windows 10 PC or Laptop. This means that if you set a reminder on your phone, you can edit or view it on your PC and vice versa. All your calendar events will also be synchronized across your devices and you can set the app to send all the notifications you receive on your Android phone to your Windows 10 PC.
You can even reply to some messages like Whatsapp texts, email alerts etc. The Cortana app on Android also allows you to snooze the notifications, select or deselect the apps from which you want the notifications and so on. Here is how to set the Cortana app on Android to send the notifications you receive on your phone to your PC.

Now swipe the hamburger menu from the left and then select settings.

Now click on the Choose which apps to sync option and then select or deselect the apps from which you want the notifications or don’t.
Now go to your Windows 10 PC and then select the Cortana search bar near the start menu icon and then select settings.
Inside the settings Window, select the Notifications option from the left menu.
Now enable the Send notifications between devices option and then click on the manage notifications option.
From here, you can select or deselect which apps you want to receive the notifications from on your Windows 10 PC.
That’s it. You have successfully synchronized your Android phone with your Windows 10 PC and from now on all the notifications you receive on your phone will be instantly sent to your PC and you can even interact with some of these notifications if you have the supported app installed on your PC.
Remember that this method will only work as long as both your Android phone and your Windows 10 PC are connected to the internet and the Cortana app installed on your phone. If you want to stop receiving these notifications in the future, you can simply uninstall the app from your phone and you will not receive notifications anymore.
