As the name defines, it helps users capture screenshots and share them directly with friends or anyone through email or various social networking sites. There are hundreds of free and paid tools, browser extensions, add-ons etc. to capture screenshot and record video. However, only a few of them have the option to share the screenshot directly. For example, there are some tools those allow people create a unique link for every screenshot and send that to anybody. Hence, users do not need to download the screenshot and then upload to a server or cloud storage before sharing. That problem can be fixed with Firefox Screenshots and that is one of the best features of this browser integrated tool.
The second essential feature is you can find all the captured screenshots in one window. From there, you can get the unique link or delete that permanently.
The third feature lets you download the screenshot. In case, you do not like to use the inbuilt Print Screen option of Windows, you can head over to this tool.

How to capture screenshot with Firefox Screenshots
This is very easy to capture screenshots with Firefox Screenshots feature. Although this is still under development process or BETA version, you can utilize this feature in the latest version of Firefox. To get started, open a webpage that you want to capture. Therefore, right-click on that page and select Take a Screenshot option.
It will ask you to select a region that you want to capture. You can either select Save full page or Save visible or choose manually. After that, you will get an option to either download or save online. If you click on Save option, it will let you share the screen directly.
For your information, Firefox deletes screenshots after 14 days and this is an automatic process.
Disadvantage of Firefox Screenshots
Although this is a very useful tool available for Firefox users, it comes with some setbacks as well.
- Cannot record video: Nowadays, almost all screen capture tools can record video. But this tool doesn’t.
- Captures only Firefox window: Although there are some Chrome extensions that can capture other windows except Google Chrome, Firefox Screenshots doesn’t allow you to do that.
- Lack of basic editing tool: If you want to do basic editing like add an arrow, or highlight something, you can’t since it doesn’t have such options.
