Even before using Apple Pay, you should know if your device is compatible with Apple Pay or not because not all the devices are likeminded. As Apple Pay uses Touch ID as a password, you should have latest device to run this. Anyway, you must have to following devices;
You can use iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in apps and stores. But iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 are not compatible for paying bill in any store. On the other hand, you cannot use Apple Pay in Apple Watch in any app.

American Express: You can use almost all types of card including Personal Credit Card, Co-Branded Cards, Small Business Credit Card and Prepaid Card. You cannot use Personal debit cards and Small business debit cards that belong to American Express.
Bank of America: Alike American Express, you can use all types of card except Small business debit cards and Prepaid Cards. But, you can use Personal Debit Cards.
Capital One: You can use Personal Credit Card, Personal Debit Card, Small Business Credit Card and Small Business Debit Card.
Chase: Personal Credit Card, Personal Debit card, Co-Branded Cards and Prepaid Card of Chase are available for Apple Pay.
Citi Bank: Only Personal Credit Card, Personal Debit card, Co-Branded Cards are compatible with Apple Pay.
J.P. Morgan: You can use only Personal Credit Card of this bank for Apple Pay.
Merrill Lynch: Alike J.P. Morgan, you can use only Personal Credit card in Apple Pay.
U.S. Trust: This is possible to use Personal Credit Card and Personal Debit card of U.S. Trust.
Wells Fargo: You can use Personal Credit Card, Personal Debit and Prepaid Card of Wells Fargo in Apple Pay.
As of now, only these banks are providing Apple Pay facility to their customers. Don’t worry if your bank is not offering this feature. You will get it very soon.
