When Nokia was took over HMD Global, the most important promise they made was to deliver stable and timely updates to all the Nokia device no matter their price range or release date and they have been keeping that promise by delivering the Android Oreo update for both Nokia 8 and the Nokia 5 and now the Nokia 6.
The company has now announced that the Nokia 6 will also be getting the update for the latest version of Android Oreo 8.0 and it has now begun the beta rollout process for the device. You can join the Nokia 6 Android Oreo Beta update program to receive the beta builds before the official rollout of the stable build.
Android Oreo is the latest version of Android and it was released a few months back by Google. It comes with a few interesting new updates like the picture in picture mode for videos and maps, auto fill, smart text selection and so on. There are also a lot of behind the screen improvements like enhanced security and performance, faster app installation and processing speeds etc.
However, before joining the beta update program for your Nokia 6 you should keep in your mind that since this is a beta build some features or apps might not work as expected and you might also find some bugs throughout your usage period. Also, since you would be installing a new firmware update, all your data might be erased from your device. So, it is advisable to take a complete backup of your device before you proceed further.
