Windows Phone had an awesome feature called Cortana. Cortana is a digital assistant, which was available for Windows Phone only. However, the whole scenario has been changed. This digital assistant can work just by voice command. Nevertheless, to enter into the Cortana search pane or start using Cortana on your Windows PC, you must have to utilize the large search box, which is positioned in your Taskbar.
If you have a large monitor, there is no problem with this in-built Cortana search box. However, this may create problem to them, who have a small monitor. This search box will consume most of your Taskbar’s space and a small space will remain to pin other programs. That is when you can use the small yet very helpful trick that will let you use Cortana on low-resolution screen effectively.
To keep using it, you have to do two things. At first, you have to hide this large Cortana search box from your Taskbar and then, you have to enable a voice command so that you would be able to use it without having any Cortana search box or search button.
How to enable “Hey Cortana”?
Hey Cortana is a voice command that will help you to access Cortana search without clicking anywhere. That means, you can use Cortana by giving this simple command. To enable Hey Cortana, just open up Cortana interface, click the Menu and open Settings pane.
Now, scroll down and toggle the option that says Let Cortana respond when you say “Hey Cortana”.

How to hide Cortana Search Box from Windows 10’s Taskbar?
This is simple and not much time consuming. On the other hand, there is no need of installing any third party software. To disable Cortana Search Box from Windows Taskbar, just right click on empty place of Taskbar, go to Search and select Disabled.
The search box will be disappeared right away.
