Aqua Super By Intex: A Budget Smart Phone with 3GB RAM

Indian Smart Phone manufacturer Intex launched another smartphone in the line of their own aqua series today. It’s called Intex Aqua Super. This device is priced at Rs.10,390/-. That’s an attractive price bracket for sure. Let’s take a look at it’s features and specs and decide whether it’s a worth a buy.

Design, Dimensions and Display
This phone comes with shiny premium design on all sides. It has a 5 inch 720p HD (720×1280 resolution)IPS display with pixel density approximately 293ppi. The display would be nice with color production and brightness appropriate for a 5 inch screen. Dimensions of this device are 144×75.3×7.65mm. As you can see it’s just 7.65mm thick and weighs 130 grams in hand.

This phone is available in different colors to pick from :Black, White, Grey and Champagne.

Overall the build quality and display features of this guy are neat and appropriate for the available price bracket.

Processing Unit and Software
This device is powered by 1GHz Quad core MediaTek MT6735P SoC, coupled with 3GB DDR3 RAM and 16GB internal Storage which can be expandable upto 128GB using Micro SD card.It runs Android Lollipop V5.1.

Even though it is not best performing smart phone in the world, it would give decent performance, so to say. If you consider CPU, there are alternative mobiles available in market with more clock speed. But you might rarely notice this, as this device got 3GB RAM. Storage wise also no problem, as it can be expandable.

Overall, one would expect that this would give decent performance.

Camera Unit
This device got 8MP sensor on the back with LED flash, and 2MP shooter at front. The primary sensor has features such as Face detection, Panorama, HDR, Smile detection, self timer etc.

Again, both cameras are not best within this price range, you would get decent shots in daylight.

Battery and Others
This device is backed with 2150mAh battery on the back. It will give you up to 6 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby time,as the company claims.

This device supports 4G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n , Bluetooth, GPS, MicroUSB and comes with 3.5mm audio jack. The company also says that Aqua Super comes with 1 year screen damage warranty with complementary bag pack too.

Overall, this is a budget friendly smartphone with both pros and cons. Having 3GB RAM would be an asset for this device. It also makes some sacrifices in terms of camera and CPU, to fit this in the given price bracket. Apparently this phone will hit the market starting from next week.
