LinkedIn is well known for gathering professionals at one place. We visit other profiles and connect to them. We increase our network by connecting to more and more professionals. You will be receiving an email from LinkedIn once or twice in a month, with list of professionals or people who has viewed your profile. By default you can get to know few members from the entire list and if you are a premium member, then you can view the entire list of people.
Even if you view others profiles, you will be in their list. If you wish LinkedIn not to reveal your profile details when you view profile of others, you can do that in simple steps. By doing this, when you visit any LinkedIn profile, they do not know that, you really viewed their profile. We will see how to do that.
How to anonymously view LinkedIn Profile?
Log in to your LinkedIn account and click on your photo on the top right corner. Select “Privacy & Settings”. In “Profile” tab under “Privacy Controls”, click on “Select what others see when you’ve viewed their profile”.
This shows you three options and you need to select the last option “You will be totally anonymous”. So, from now on, when you view any LinkedIn Profile, you are viewing as an anonymous.
By setting this option, no one will know that you have viewed their profile. One important thing to remember here is, even you will not come to know who viewed your profile from here after. It disables your profile stats and will also erase the viewer history.
But, this is the best way to not letting your details to others when your view their LinkedIn Profile. Have you ever want to view LinkedIn Profile anonymously? What was your step before reading this article? If you have anything to add, please do share with us through comments.
