The Chinese smart phone manufacturer Meizu trying to create a place in Indian market by producing low cost smart phones. In the month of May, the company entered into Indian market with the announcement of m1note. After that few models came from the company including M2 Note, MX5. Recently the company had released M2, which is like a compact version and low priced smartphone. This device is available for purchase exclusively on Snapdeal for Rs. 6,999/-. Let’s take a look at what it’s got.

Design, Dimensions and Display

This phone is made up of sturdy polycarbonate and design is pretty much what its brothers are made of. It has smooth finish with curved edges looks decent and simple. This guy weighs approx 130 grams in hand and available in white/grey color.

This device comes with 5inch 720p HD IPS display with pixel density of 296 ppi. It has Dragon Trail Glass protection to protect from screen damage. Considering the budget, HD display would be an asset for this phone and you can get better viewing angles, vivid color production.

The only thing about the design of this mobile is- it is basically a Dual SIM device, but you have to choose one between SIM or SD Card for expandable storage.

Processing Unit and Software

This device has 1.3GHz Media Tek MT6735 Quad Core Processor coupled with 2GB RAM and Mali T720 GPU. It has 16GB storage which can be expandable upto 128 GB using Micro SD
card. This device runs FlymeOS 4.5 UI on top of Android Lollipop v5.1.

Considering it’s price, the device offers great processing power. You won’t find any lag while using this device and it handles multi tasking very well. You can play pretty heavy games and watch High definition videos on this device without any issue.

Camera

This device has a huge 13MP sensor with LED flash on the back and 5MP sensor on the front. It excels in camera department and definitely a thumbs up considering its price.

Even though the camera is not best in the world with great image processing, you can find this camera pretty impressive. You would get some crispy bright and detailed shots with its easy interface on daylight. The camera comes with different modes such as beauty mode and QR Scanner mode to scan barcodes. It also has manual mode if you want to play with.

It has 5MP sensor on the front so that you can take some decent selfie pics using this device.
Battery and Others

This device has 2500mAh battery on the back with 23 hours of talk time (2G phone call) and 680 hours of standby time.So clearly, you can get very nice performance from this device having power efficient processor and OS. If you are an average user, you might last this device for a day without running for a charger.

This device supports 4G, Wifi, Bluetooth and GPS. This device supports dual Nano 4G SIMs, but as I said earlier, like One plus X, you have to chose between a SIM or SD card since only one can fit in along with another SIM.

Verdict
Without a doubt, it is an amazing smart phone for the given price. With great display, CPU, camera and battery life, this phone is all you need if the budget is appropriate for you. It has some sacrifices such as lack of sensors, NFC etc but considering the price bracket you won’t find that as a down side to not to buy this one. If you are looking for a phone under 7k, this would be on top of your list you should be looking for.
