Samsung Galaxy Note5 vs Note7

Design-wise, you cannot find any major drawback in Note5 but somehow Note7 is quite better than Note5. The overall look of these two mobiles are different and that makes Note7 better. The color combinations are 50% different. Previously, Note5 was available in Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Solver Titan and While Pearl version. However, you can find Note7 in Blue Coral, Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx color combinations. There is no major difference between the dimension of these two mobiles. The dimension of Note5 is 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm and the dimension of Note7 is 153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm. Note5 weighs 171gms and Note7 weighs 169gms. However, the main difference is you will get Corning Gorilla Glass 5 back panel in Note7 but Note5 has no such thing. Also, Note7 is water resistant and dust proof mobile. Not only the mobile, but also the S pen.

Display & OS

Both of the mobiles are having 5.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M color depth and 1440 x 2560 pixels of screen resolution. However, the difference is you will get Corning Gorilla Glass 4 in Note5 but Note7 has Gorilla Glass 5. Also, the color production of Note7 would be a little bit better as it has Adreno 530 or Mali-T880 MP12 but Note5 has Mali-T760MP8.

Talking about the OS, Note5 came with Android Lollipop and it is upgradable to Android Marshmallow. However, Note7 has Android Marshmallow and you will get Nougat update very soon.

Performance wise, Note7 would be better as it has better hardware. More specifically, you will get Exynos 7420 Octa chipset along with Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 processor in Note5. On the other hand, you will get either Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 chipset along with either Dual-core 2.15 GHz Kryo & dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo or Quad-core 2.3 GHz + quad-core 1.6 GHz processors in Note7. Another difference can be found in the card slot. Note5 has no memory card slot. That means you have to be happy with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. On the other hand, you will get dedicated memory card slot in Note7 (Single SIM version) along with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Although, you can find a difference here but do not go to compare without checking the image quality. Samsung Galaxy Note5 has 16MP rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9, 28mm, Optical Image Stabilization and more. The image quality of this camera is really awesome and perfect for mobile photographers. However, Note7 is not lagging behind with 12MP rear camera with the all the feature that Note5 has. On the other hand, both of them are having a 5MP front facing camera.

Battery and Other Features

Note7 has a little upgrade in the battery as it contains Li-Po 3500 mAh battery but Note5 has Li-Po 3000 mAh battery.

Talking about other features and differences, the main difference is related to security. Samsung has introduced Irish Scanner in Note7 alongside Fingerprint scanner. However, Note5 has the only fingerprint scanner. So, if you need better security, you will definitely love Note7.

Both of them are pretty good but Note7 has more features than Note5. So, what do you think about these mobile?
