Huawei Launches Honor Holly 2 Plus With 13MP Camera and 4000mAh Battery For ₹8499/-

Huawei, the Chinese based tech company launched yet another budged friendly 4G enabled smartphone, Honor Holly 2 Plus today along with it’s much waited Honor 5X in India. Infact, this particular compact device packs great specs for much lesser price bracket and has enough potential to become a member of value-for-money devices club.

Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus has a textured high quality plastic back with curve shaped body. Even though this isn’t a shiny personality, but would give you nice grip in hand. This guy packs a 5 inch HD IPS display (1280 x 720 resolution ) display which would give you great visual experience without any issues. As previously we’ve seen, on a 5 inch screen, 720p resolution would work great giving you appropriate amount of brightness, vivid color production and nice viewing angles. It deserves a mention though, that having a HD IPS display in an 8k device is something we wouldn’t see often and it would definitely be an USP for this guy. Coming to dimensions, Honor Holly 2 Plus measures 143.1 x 71.8 x 9.7 mm and weighs 160 grams in hand. Clearly you can see, even though this device isn’t the thinnest, but definitely has lighter than some mobiles out there giving you comfort while carrying.

Under the hood, Honor Holly 2 Plus features a 1.3 GHz 64-bit quad core MediaTek MT6735 SoC coupled with Mali-T720 GPU. Clearly, this isn’t best chip we’ve seen so far, but would definitely run nicely handling multi tasking and gaming as well without any hitches and legitimately powered for the price tag this device coming out with. Coming to Software front, Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus runs Emotion UI 3.1 on top of Android Lollipop v5.1 with 2GB RAM and 16GB flash storage which can be expandable up to 128 GB via SD Card. Offering expandable storage is another asset for this device without a doubt. So, without any worry of getting out of storage errors, you can throw in your favorite music, photos, videos and stuff in this device without hesitation. On the memory front as well, this device totally justifies your money.

Turning the device backwards, Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus has a 13MP OmniVision BSI sensor (LED flash, f/2.0, 28mm wide-angle lens, 6P lens) on the back and 5MP shooter on the front. The BSI sensor would definitely enhance the quality of your images under low light condistions so you can expect nice quality shots on this device with good color saturation on day light, and LED flash is anyway there to take care of low light circumstances. Front camera too, would give you decent selfie shots. Coming to Connectivity, Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus is a 4G enabled Dual SIM (CDMA/GSM/wCDMA) device which is great for people in India who use CDMA SIMs from Tata or other services. This device also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Wait, it’s not over yet. The great feature this device comes with which aren’t offered by many at this price bracket is USB OTG support using which you can transfer data between you phone and external devices. Not only that, this device is a battery beast, packing a huge 4000mAh battery with 3.75 days of battery life with average usage and up to 2 days of battery backup with heavy usage. The company claims that this device can extend the power up to 24 hours even with 10% of battery with it’s power saving technology. With Grey, Gold and White Colors, Honor Holly 2 Plus is expected to hit online market soon.

Alright, the verdict time. Now let me see what do have here. 5″ HD IPS display, Quad core CPU, 13MP Camera, 4000mAh battery, USB OTG support all are coming for ₹8499/-?? This device packs everything an average customer would expect from a smartphone and is definitely falls in cheap-device-with-good-quality category. I can’t tell you if you are a person expending top-notch specs and features from a smartphone, but if you are a person who care about your money and in need of a stable device offering great specs, then this guy would definitely fulfill every penny of you.
