Samsung has launched two brand new smartphones under Galaxy J series. They are Samsung Galaxy J Max and Galaxy J2 (2016). Although, J2 (2016) is the enhancement of previous J2 but J Max is the all new smartphone designed for mid-range mobile users, who are looking for a good performance within budget. If you are looking for a new Samsung smartphone within Rs. 15k, J Max would be the best option to opt for. Although, J2 (2016) is an entry level Android smartphone but this one is a mid-range smartphone which is priced at Rs. 13,400 in India. Now, check out the specifications and features of this mobile.

Samsung Galaxy J Max: Specifications & Features

Samsung Galaxy J Max is a pretty good Android smartphone with some decent features. Although, it doesn’t have any glowing notification LED on the back, but other features will certainly attract you. The very first thing is design of this mobile. It looks amazing in golden color combination. It has two different variants those are having black and golden color combo. There is no doubt that the golden edition looks much better than black one. However, it always depends on the user.

The dimension of this mobile is 186.9 x 108.8 x 8.7 mm, which is really big. Although, the weight is not confirmed yet it is supposed to be at least 170gms. Considering the dimension, you can call it a phablet.

Talking about the display, you will get massive 7 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. Apart from that, there is 16M color density and 216PPI pixel density. This is meaningless to mention that it features multi touch support. On the other hand, it is running Android 5.1 Lollipop. Now, this is a drawback as being a new smartphone, it should run 6.0.

Samsung Galaxy J Max has Spreadtrum SC8830 chipset along with Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A7 processor. Just like J2 (2016), you will get an average performance. However, this time, there is a chance to get more than from this mobile. To power up the graphics, you will get Mali-400MP2. RAM always plays a vital role to make the smartphone smarter. This time, you wil get only 1.5GB RAM along with 8GB internal storage, which can be extended up to 256GB using microSD card.

Alike J2 2016, it has 8MP rear camera along with LED flash, autofocus, touch focus, geo tagging, face detection, panorama, HDR etc. Apart from that camera, you will get 2MP front facing camera in this phablet. The rear camera would be able to record 720p video at 30FPS.

The battery of this J Max is a plus point as it comes with removable Li-Ion 4000 mAh battery in this mobile. There is no doubt that this is capable of providing a decent backup even when you are playing games or using multiple apps.
