Recently, Motorola has announced two new smartphones along with some very useful as well as new features. From a long time, Google is trying to develop a modular smartphone. What is Moto Mods?

Moto Z and Moto Z Force are modular mobiles and the whole bundle (mobile + all the accessories) is called Moto Mods. If your mobile comes with Moto Mods, you can attach various kits in order to obtain new features without using any software or third party hardware.

How does Moto Mods work?

Apart from the mobile, you will get some other kits along with the phone those can be attached to your mobile. Moto Z and Moto Z Force has 16 metal bumps on the rear side, which will help your kit to intact with the mobile. Those magnetic sensors will then able to interchange power and data from the module to mobile and vice versa. Hence, this would be possible to use that wireless kit alongside your mobile.

The whole prototype is called OneCompute. OneCompute works as a margetic Moto Mods add-ons that can attach the kits to your mobile. The advantage of this kit is this is complete wireless and it works with magnetic sensors. That means, it should not create any major issues while handling the mobile.

According to some professionals and first time users, you can use Moto Mods like Microsoft’s Continuum. In addition, you would be able to connect your big screen with the mobile in order to get a better user experience, Lenovo’s chief technology officer, Peter Hortensius.
