LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE: Specifications and Features
Body and Design
As mentioned before, there is no doubt that the look is really awesome. The back panel looks even better than the front side. This is because of having a layer type back panel. It will be available in Brown and the color combination seems perfect. The light and dark combo makes is much better than other tablets. On the front side, you will get camera and sensors. On the back panel, camera and speaker are included. The back panel has no such unnecessary elements. The dimension of this tablet is 216.8 × 126.5 × 8.8mm, which is a standard size for professionals. On the other hand, it weighs 366gms. Considering the dimension, the weighs seems fine. Obviously, you will get problems to use it on hand for a long time. But, considering it as a tablet, the weight is ok.
Network & Connectivity
Generally, people opt for iPad when they need to purchase a tablet and hence they face problem since most of the iPad has two different variants i.e. with and without cellular data. However, here is no such problem with LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE. As the name defines, it comes with 4G LTE support, which is quite good and obviously a plus point. Talking about the connectivity, the features are limited. Apart from other regular connectivity features, you will get Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
There should not be any doubt as LG always offer a great display. This time, there is no exception. You will get massive 8.3-inch WUXGA display, which is mainly designed for tablets. As a tablet, the color production would be good too. The color depth is 16M and the screen resolution is 1920 x 1200. Although, the screen resolution seems smaller as compared with some high end mobiles, but this not bad yet. As the screen resolution is 1920 x 1200, the pixel density would be ~272PPI – this is not confirmed though.
For tablet, each and every little part plays a vital role. Anyway, this time, you will get a good hardware with this tablet. LG has included Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with a clock speed of 1.5GHz. As you know, Snapdragon 615 is not available in the entry-level mobile. Generally, it is available with mid-range mobiles. The same thing is included with LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE. It will certainly be more than enough for multi-tasking and all. At the same time, you will get 2GB RAM with this tablet. For regular usage, 2GB RAM is enough. Apart from that, you will get 16GB internal storage. It comes with microSD card support that will help you to extend the storage up to 128GB.
Generally, tablet users do not use camera a lot. But, still if you will use the camera for anything, you should know that this device features an 8MP rear camera with autofocus. Except that, you will get 2MP front facing camera. Although, no other information is available right now, but you will certainly get all the regular options and features for the rear camera.
This is where it excels as you are about to get 4800 mAh battery with this device. It will help you to browse internet and do other stuffs on 4G for a long time. Obviously, you should not expect a whole day backup from this battery, but it can provide at least 8h backup on 4G.
The price is still not unveiled. As of now, it is available only in Korea. But, LG will definitely launch it in other countries very soon.
