How to Hide the Notch on the iPhone X Home and Lock Screen

iPhone X is currently one of the best looking and the fastest smartphones available for purchase and even though it might cost a little more than other popular flagships out there, Apple has managed to add a lot of features to the device that are worth the price.

One of these features is the full vision display and iPhone X is the first iPhone to come with a display that covers the entire front panel. While Apple removed the bottom physical home button to achieve this, there is nothing it could do when it came to the front camera and the mic. So, Apple decided to add a little top notch to the middle of the phone and placed all the essential hardware including the front camera, sensors and the mic.

While this might seem like a perfect idea to both make use of the limited space and also to give a full screen experience to the users, not a lot of iOS apps support the placement of this top notch as of now. This means that when you are using some app on your iPhone X like Instagram or the web browser, the notch will be covering a part of the app making it difficult to view what’s there or simply feel annoying.

However a lot of users are ok with this and they don’t mind a little portion of their display being obstructed by a notch. But, if you are not one among them and would love to make the top notch on your iPhone X go away, then here is a simple solution where you could achieve that almost instantly.
