Acer Windows Flagship Liquid Jade Primo All Set To Hit The Market Starting Feb
The Taiwan based electronic manufacturing company Acer announced their Windows 10 premium flagship Acer Liquid Jade Primo to hit the market in coming month. Even though the company had announced this guy in previous year IFA event, this time it going to hit the market. Even though this isn’t the first Windows based smartphone from this company (it had Liquid M330 and M320 phones earlier), this device seems to be came out with high end specs and features.
The main feature of this device which attracted many eyes earlier was Windows Continuum feature using which you can actually use your device as a PC by connecting it to a display monitor with help of a dock. This new feature from Microsoft only present in few devices such as their own Lumia flagships this year and Surface laptops. So, getting this feature from a non-microsoft company would be an asset for this device. According to our source, Acer released this phone with advanced cooling system which would control the heat generated from the processor.
Keeping it’s unique features aside, if we take a look of it’s specs, Acer Liquid Jade Primo features a 5.5 inch FHD AMOLED display (1920 × 1080 resolution @401ppi) being protected with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. With curved metallic finish body, this device would give you great display, vivid color production and 176 degree wide viewing angles. We don’t have other information such as dimensions and weight at this point yet, you would get great display on this device.
Under the hood, Acer Liquid Jade Primo features Hexa Core 1.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip coupled with Adreno 418 GPU. As I mentioned earlier, this device runs Windows 10 having 3GB RAM, 32 GB flash storage which can be expandable up to 128 gigs. For windows 10 device, even though 3GB RAM looks a bit high, but you can use this device to play games, watching HD videos and stuff since it has a great display too. Its storage expandability is another asset so you can throw in your favorite multi media stuff and load bunch of apps from Windows App store.
Coming to Camera, Acer Liquid Jade Primo features a 21MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and Dual LED flash on the back with 4K recording capability, and 8MP f/2.2 sensor on the front for selfie and video calling. As you can expect, this sensor would give you great shots on day light, and LED flash comes handy dealing low light situations. Since Windows 10 camera interface is easy to use, you can feel comfortable taking desired shots. 4K video capability is another asset for you to take crispy HD videos on this device. Front camera would also deliver nice performance which is a 84 degree wide angle lens using which you can record FHD videos.
Coming to connectivity, Acer Liquid Jade Primo is a 4G enabled Nano SIM device including other connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/b/ac MIMO, GPS and USB Type -C. It has a huge 3000 mAh battery which would give you decent performance if you are an average user.
According to the company, this device is rolling out starting Feb for $617(₹41K) in Europe. We can expect release in other regions later. As you can see, this isn’t a budget device. But, If you are a windows fan and want a premium device with great processor, display, camera and native features like Continuum and Cortana, you can definitely give this device a try.
