Asus has launched a surprising mobile in this winter. This is surprising because it is not a ZenFone. Instead, this brand new mobile is named Asus Live. Asus Live comes with some decent specifications, which is an enter level Android smartphone. Although, this mobile is not available in popular mobile markets such as US, India, China etc. but, it is currently available in Brazil. The Taiwanese mobile company has chosen Brazil to launch their new mobile, which is not new but a decent move to grab another big mobile market from the beginning of 2016.
Although, the price is still not unveiled, yet, it seems this is an entry level Android smartphone running Android 5.1 Lollipop. You can certainly consider this mobile if you need a good camera and want to use a lot of applications on the go. However, before thinking about anything else, do check out the specifications and a brie review of Asus Live.
Asus Live: Full Phone Specifications, Features and Review
As mentioned before, Asus Live is a camera focused mobile which comes with some average specifications but good camera and memory. These may attract you for sure.
In terms of overall design, this mobile looks really good and it will certainly knock your attention. Asus has launched this mobile in three different color combinations and black is common in all of them. However, you will get Rosa, Azul and Yellow variant of this mobile. Talking about the physical buttons, you will get only power and volume up/down buttons with this mobile. Apart from that 3.5mm jack, microUSB port etc. are included in this mobile. The overall design looks good from the front side as the body : display ratio is good. The dimension of this mobile is not too big. You will get a dimension of 5.69 x 2.80 x 0.39 inch and it weighs 140gm only. That implies how light this mobile is.
Always said, display is the most important factor of any mobile. No matter, whether you buy entry level mobile or mid-range mobile, display should be good enough. Otherwise, you won’t get expected result. Anyway, you will get 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 6M color depth. Having a 5-inch display, the screen resolution is 720 x 1280 pixels. Keeping the resolution in mind, you should get a pixel density of 294PPI. In other words, the display of Asus Live is pretty good and you will get color from the display. The sunlight feature will help you to view better in broad daylight.
Performance wise, this mobile should be up to the mark as the configuration is not bad. You will get MediaTek chipset with a model number MT6580. This version is well enough for running heavy games. On the other hand, you will get 1.3GHz quad-core processor with this mobile, which will help you to play better games, use multiple high end apps and get overall better speed. Talking about the memory, you will get 2GB RAM along with 16GB internal storage that can be extended up to 64GB using microSD card. Considering all the features, there is no doubt that this “entry-level” smartphone will attract you for sure.
According to some professionals, this mobile’s camera is good enough for the mobile photographers and it can capture really good photos in low light areas. This is obviously a plus point for this mobile. Anyway, you will get 8MP rear camera along with LED flash, autofocus and some other regular features. On the other hand, a 2MP front facing camera is also included with this mobile for video calling.
Battery & Other Features
In simple words, the battery is not so good as it contains 2070 mAh battery. For a 5-inch IPS display, this much battery will not be enough to back it up for a day. You will get backup for 10-12 hours on 3G. After day by day, the time will be reduced significantly. Talking about the other features, you will get Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, radio, GPS, microUSB 2.0 etc. with this mobile.
Although, the price is not disclosed, but it seems this is an entry level mobile – considering the specifications and features. It can also be a mid-range smartphone but the possibilities are very less.
Anyway, what do you think about this mobile?
