Lenovo, the chinese based company launched their smartphone flagship this year- Vibe X3 in India. The interesting thing about this phone is definitely it’s price because being a smartphone flagship offering top-notch specs and being available for below 20k in the present market situation would be awestruck for so many people. If you compare it’s rivals like LeEco LeMax, Quiku Q Terra, OnePlus 2 and Moto X Force all are a bit high priced in market stand point than this guy.
Lenovo Vibe X3 has a curved body with metallic finish having smoothy back. But it comes in only White color, I really wish there were more color variants, but you got to live with that since not buying a great phone just because of the color wouldn’t make that much sense. The design is premium and feels nice in the hands. On the front side of the phone, you would notice high quality 1.5w large dual speakers which are Dolby Atmos, Cirrus Logic Wolfson 8218 audio codec having ES9018K2M DAC chip and TI’s OPA1612 amplifier for better listening experience. So, movie fans, there you go. Coming to display, Lenovo Vibe X3 comes with 5.5 inch FHD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution having Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection to avoid external damage. On a 5.5″ screen, FHD display would give you amazing visual clarity with vivid color production, good amount of brightness and nice viewing angles. This phone is 154mm tall, occupies 76.5mm width and 9.3mm thin. Even though this phone isn’t the thinnest device we have seen, but it only weighs 173 grams in hand without giving you much difficulty while carrying it.
Under the hood, Lenovo Vibe X3 features hexa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip coupled with Adreno 418 GPU. On the memory front, it has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB flash storage which can be expandable up to 128 GB via Micro SD Card. These are some top-notch core specs so this device would handle multi tasking, graphical gaming and HD video playback without any hitches at all. You can also throw in bunch of apps without any hesitation, thanks to it’s 3GB RAM. The only downside I see is it still runs Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box, but since the company is Lenovo, you can expect an OTA update soon. If you look at it’s camera , Lenovo Vibe X3 features a 21MP PDAF (Phase Detect Auto Focus) Sony IMX230 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and dual Tone LED flash on the back, and 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture on the front. The impressive thing about his guy is this camera supprots 4K video recording as well, becoming one of the fewest devices offering this feature being available for under 20k price bracket. You can expect good quality images from this device without any issue and anyway dual LED flash is there to come for rescue under low light conditions.
Lenovo Vibe X3 is a 4G enabled Dual Hybrid SIM (Nano+Nano/SD) device. So, if you ever run out of storage, you may need to sacrifice a SIM card, if you happened to use two SIMs. Which isn’t that bad as it sounds, as many devices are adopting this feature to remove a hardware slot to save some bucks. Other features supported by this device are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/b/ac bands, Bluetooth 4.1 LTE, GPS and NFC. Lenovo Vibe X3 has 3600mAh battery which would give you good amount of backup time, again, which would primarily depends on your usage since it has to handle FHD display and hexa core CPU.
Overall, Vibe X3 is a good endeavor from Lenovo offering great specs that too coming in very attractive price bracket, i.e., ₹19,999/-. As per the report, Vibe X3 is going to be available on Amazon starting Jan 28th, 2016. This device is another example of how much demand is there for budget oriented smartphones in India and how companies are eradicating the more price great spec barrier gradually. At least on paper, Vibe X3 seems to be a great device without much faults and you can definitely buy it if you found it’s features work for you.
