Here is a detailed comparison between Meizu MX5 and OnePlus X that will let you choose a smartphone as both come with almost same configuration. Let’s check this out.
Body & Design
In terms body and design, both are almost same but, there is a difference between the dimension. Otherwise, Meizu MX5 has a quite good body and on the other hand, OnePlus X has a glossy body. Both look very good from outside and the build is not bad too. Buttons’ positions are same. However, you can find a change in rear camera position. The rear camera of OnePlus X is positioned on the top right side and at the same time, the rear camera of Meizu MX5 is positioned in the center of the back panel. As mentioned, you can find a difference between two dimensions. The dimension of MEizu MX5 is 5.90 x 2.94 x 0.30-inch and the dimension of OnePlus X is 5.51 x 2.72 x 0.27-inch. Obviously, OnePlus X is more comfortable to grip one-handedly. As usual, there weight of two smartphones is different. Meizu MX5 weighs 149gm and OnePlus X weighs 138gm.
Although, the screen size is different but internal hardware is same. Surprisingly, Meizu MX5 comes with 5.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. On the other hand, OnePlus X comes with 5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. This is needless to say that you will get multitouch support along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect your screen in both of them. Apart from that, you cannot find any difference in screen resolution as they have a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. In terms of UI, you will get Flyme 4.5.2 in Meizu MX5 and OxygenOS UI in OnePlus X. However, according to the professionals, MX5 produces better color than OnePlus X.
Although, those two devices have chipset and processor, yet, it seems MX5 is capable of providing better performance while playing heavy games and multi-tasking. In MX5, you will get MediaTek MT6795 Heilo X10, when a Snapdragon 801 is included in OnePlus X. Those, who have tried both of the devices, have mentioned that MX5 provides better performance. Anyway, you will get Octa-core processor in MX5 and the clock speed is 2.2 GHz. On the other hand, you will get quad-core processor in OnePlus X and the clock speed is more than the another one. You will get a clock speed on 2.3 GHz. Apart from that, the RAM is same as both of them have 3GB RAM. Surprisingly, MX5 comes in three different variants but you will get only one OnePlus X variant. That means, you can find 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage for MX5 but only a 16 GB variant is available for OnePlus X. But, another surprise news is you will not get any microSD card slot in MX5 but you can use microSD card in OnePlus X.
If you consider camera, MX5 will come first in your mind as it contains 20.7MP rear camera but OnePlus X has 13MP camera. Along with that rear camera, you will get all the regular features like LED flash, autofocus, face detection, HDR etc. in both of them. Obviously, the 20MP camera will capture better images than the other one. The most interesting thing is MX5 can record videos in 2160p at 30 FPS, 1080p at 30 FPS and 720p at 100 FPS. However, you can record videos in 1080p at 30 FPS and 720p at 120 FPS using the OnePlus X. Another interesting thing is you will get 5MP front camera in MX5 and 8MP camera in OnePlus X. Although, this is possible to capture videos in 1080p using the MX5’s front camera yet, you cannot record video using the OnePlus X’s front camera. This is where MX5 excels.
When it comes battery, MX5 excels again since MX5 has non-removable Li-Ion 3150 mAh battery and OnePlus X has non-removable Li-Po 2525 mAh battery. Considering all the facts, it seems Meizu MX5 has better battery backup.
This is almost confirmed that MX5 should be your first choice between these two smartphones. This is because of having some better features and camera.
