Samsung Galaxy J3: A Glance At Specifications
The Korean Tech Giant Samsung has been making devices to attract its customers of all kinds. Ranging from High end devices with whooping specs to budget friendly devices are continuously being produced by this company into the market every year. Even though the company has large market from Android Devices, it’s also trying to make devices with it’s own Tizen OS.
A new variant got announced from Samsung as a successor in the famous J series : Galaxy J3. This device got announced in China market as of now. Some of the specs of this device such as the display kind of make this device as the brother to the Galaxy J2, which was released in Indian market earlier this year. This device got mid range specs and could be affordable for average users. So, let’s take a look at it and find out whether it’s worth a buy.
Design , Dimensions and Display
Galaxy J3 is of typical Samsung Galaxy design with plastic back and a metal band wherein the buttons got fit. It has physical navigation keys on the front along with menu and looks nice.
Galaxy J3 features a 5 inch 720p Super AMOLED display ((1280 x 720 Pixels resolution). That’s would be an appropriate resolution for a 5 inch display. You would expect this display with nice brightness, vivid color production and good viewing angles.
This device measurements are 142.3 x 71x 7.9 mm. Its thinner device giving a typical Samsung device feeling. This is pretty lighter device too due to dominance of plastic in its body and weighs only 138 grams in hand. This device is available in white, black and gold colors.
Under the Hood
Galaxy J3 features a 1.2GHz Quad Core processor inside. Even though the chipset is not known yet, you can expect nice performance from this CPU which got coupled with 1.5GB RAM. Coming to storage, this device comes with 8GB on board (out of which 4.1GB is available for user) which can be expandable upto 128 GB using Micro SD card. It runs Android Lollipop v5.1 having Samsung’s own Touchwiz customized UI on top.
As you can see these are average specs. Considering it’s range, you can expect decent performance from this device. You may have to use SD card if you want to store multi media stuff in this device.
Camera Unit and Battery
Galaxy J3 has 8MP auto-focus camera with f/2.2 aperture. It also has LED flash to handle low light conditions. Coming to the front, J3 features 5MP shooter to fulfill your selfie needs.
Again, this camera is not the best from Samsung either. But, as it is Samsung, you can expect decent performance from this device while taking photos or shooting videos. This device can record 1080p Full HD videos at the rate of 30 frames per second.
This device comes with 2600mAh battery with 330 hours of standby time. Considering it’s other specs like display and processor, this device might be able to last a little longer than others. You can actually expect good battery back up from this device, which also has power saving mode.
Connectivity and Others
Galaxy J3 supports 4G, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz and location services such ash GPS, Glonass, Beidou. Other features include FM radio, NFC standy and 3.5mm audio jack. Coming to sensors, this device has Acceleration Sensor and Proximity sensors embedded.
Well, Galaxy J3 is a device with average specs from which you can expect decent performance. We don’t have detailed information about all the specifications and features of this device, yet. This device got already launched in China recently.
